More than 75 Austin College students have been honored with scholarships and fellowships this spring for academic excellence in various disciplines of the College. These awards normally are made at the College’s annual Honors Convocation, an all-campus event that highlights the achievements of students and faculty.
Honors Convocation was canceled this spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Departmental faculty select the recipients in most cases. Many awards include research opportunities alongside faculty as well as financial awards for the next academic year. Scholarships in teacher education are made to students in Austin Teacher Program pursuing graduate study toward the Master of Arts in Teaching degree.
