Kaitlin Liston Shores and husband Dustin finalized the adoption of daughter Ryann Grace on July 14, 2022, after fostering her for 1,085 days. She joins Audrey, Levi, and Rowan. The Shores live in West Tawakoni, Texas, and both teach and coach for Quinlan (Texas) Independent School District.

Emily Webb Kelly (MAT ’11) and husband Dennis Kelly ’06 welcomed Sophia Thérèsa Kelly on September 13, 2022. She joins siblings John, Claire, and Joey at home in Denison, Texas. Dennis is the athletic director and P.E. coach for St. Paul Catholic Classical School in Richardson and Emily is a stay-at-home mom.

Gabriela Trevino and her husband Jacob Manlove welcomed their daughter Lucia Olivia Trevino Manlove on June 2, 2023. The baby was delivered by Dr. Jerry Anderson ’94 in Seattle, Washington. Gabriela met Anderson while both were working at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. She now works at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, as Director of Business Operations.

Dr. Astrid Grouls and Dr. Paul Derry ’11 are excited to share the birth of their daughter and future ’Roo, Hazel Marie. Hazel was born in August of 2022, weighing 8 pounds and 5 ounces, and measuring 20 inches long.

Emma Thornburg-Suresh and Michael Thornburg-Suresh welcomed their son, Avi Alexander, on May 10, 2023. Emma is finishing her Ph.D. in neuroscience at the University of Iowa and teaching at Coe College. Michael is also finishing his Ph.D. in counseling at the University of Iowa.
