Kappa ’Roo RunThe annual Kappa ’Roo Run 5K steps off at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, as part of the Austin College Homecoming and Family Weekend activities.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at Jerry E. Apple Stadium, at 811 N. Porter St. in Sherman; cost is $15 per runner. Gift baskets will be awarded for the first three race finishers, and all runners will receive a 2019 Kappa ’Roo Run T-shirt. Refreshments are provided by ARAMARK. This is not a chip-timed race.

The Austin College Kappa Gamma Chis have sponsored the annual 5K for several years, and proceed for this year’s race will go to support Shriners Hospital for Children. Last year the Kappas raised $600 at the event, and they have a goal of more than $950 for 2019.
