Emily MacDonald and Alex Lux ’17 were married April 22, 2023, in Dripping Springs, Texas. The couple now lives in Waco, where Alex is a nurse care manager and Emily is the Museum Engagement Coordinator for the Mayborn Museum on Baylor University’s campus. The bridal party had several ’Roos: Sara Krusekopf ’17 (MAT ’18), Marissa Wilkinson, Rebecca McDonald, Bailey Clark ’19 (MAT ’20), and Jessica Mitchell. Many Austin College alumni attended the wedding as well.
Emma and Chad Head ’19

Chad Head married Emma Ricard on June 4, 2022, at Emma’s family ranch in Palestine, Texas. Trey Carr ’20 was in the wedding, and several ’Roo alumni attended. Chad has returned to Tarleton State University as Director of Recruiting and Player Development, having previously coached there for two years after graduation. He also coached football at Midland High School.
Sophie Garriga and Lt. Joshua Boring (both ’20)

Lt. Joshua Boring and Sophie Garriga were married November 25, 2022, in Las Vegas. They reside in Houston where Sophie is a registered nurse and Josh attends UT McGovern Medical School while also serving in the Army. They met in freshman biology class at Austin College.
Thomas Cheung and Rikki Lam ’20
Rikki Lam and Thomas Cheung were married April 29, 2023, at River Road Chateau in Anna, Texas. ’Roo bridesmaids were Jenny Lee and Cecilia Yip. Rikki is a health policy consultant and Thomas is a medical student at Texas A&M.
